Before and After ~ Playroom Floorboards

Once we had put the children into a bedroom together, we wanted to turn the nursery into a playroom. First job was to rip up the laminate floor (see this post for pics), we were planning on putting a carpet down but luckily the floorboards were ok so we decided to paint them.

Before and After ~ Chest of Drawers

Hello, today I wanted to share with you a makeover I recently did on a chest of drawers.

The bow front drawers were an absolute bargain from the charity shop at £30!!

Crochet ~ Lampshade Cover

I had a very plain white lampshade on my lamp, so decided to give it a makeover with a crochet cover!

I used Stylecraft Special DK in shades white, silver and grey.

I measured the foundation row around the top of the lampshade, then did 2 rows of double crochet, followed by 24 rows of Granny stripe. The cover snugly fit onto the lampshade.

What do you think? I can see lots more of my lampshades getting a makeover!

More of my crochet makes can be seen on Instagram using the hashtag #thechimneypotcrochetmakes
